Sensitive Fascist: Prosecutor Johannes Ploog Feels Insulted

Johannes Ploog is the Deputy Head of the “Hate Crime” department at the Berlin Public Prosecutor’s Office. In this role, he has been bombarding me for months with one new criminal investigation after another. There are now nearly 20. Most of them accuse me of “insulting a government official” under the new § 188 of the German Criminal Code – essentially a modern version of lèse-majesté.

In other cases, Ploog claims that my criticism of the regime constitutes “incitement to hatred” (§ 130), or that by reporting on the judicial terror he and his colleagues are waging against numerous journalists and critics like myself, I am guilty of the recently invented offense of “dangerous dissemination of personal data” (§ 126a). In short: Johannes Ploog is a state terrorist and fascist who, on behalf of his regime, wants to silence me. That is exactly why I refer to him as such in my publications.

Because of these descriptions, one of Ploog’s colleagues at the prosecutor’s office, has now informed me that they are opening yet another criminal case against me (see picture and translation below). According to § 185 of the German Criminal Code, State Prosecutor Johannes Ploog claims to feel “personally insulted” and has filed a criminal complaint. Fascists, it seems, are always also buffons.

Criminal Investigation against You

Dear Dr. med. Paul Brandenburg,
In the above-mentioned criminal investigation, you are accused of having publicly insulted another person on January 1, 2026, and on other occasions. Specifically, you are accused of the following:

On January 1, 2026, at 23:56, you published a post using your X account @docbrandenburg which contained, among other things, the following content:
“Hate Crime”: New series of investigations against exiled journalist Paul Brandenburg
Regime critics in Germany are increasingly being persecuted by police, intelligence services, and the judiciary. This is regularly criticized internationally as undemocratic, including by the US government under @realDonaldTrump.
The private “Archive of German State Terrorists” (staatsterroristen(dot)de) has been documenting such cases since 2025 in English, with names, photos, and official documents of those responsible. The operator is journalist and physician Paul Brandenburg.
Because of this archive, the Berlin Public Prosecutor’s Office is once again investigating Brandenburg. State Prosecutor Johannes Ploog (“Hate Crime Unit”) accuses him of dangerous dissemination of personal data (§ 126a StGB). The reasoning is that naming public officials as “state terrorists” could incite violence out of alleged self-defense or resistance. The so-called “enemy list paragraph” is a criminal offense introduced in 2021 in response to citizen criticism of restrictions on basic rights. It carries a penalty of up to three years in prison. Legal experts criticize it as unconstitutional and as a symptom of political injustice in the judiciary and the dismantling of democracy. The Berlin “Hate Crime Unit” openly admits its political orientation. On its website, it declares its close cooperation with NGOs and anti-discrimination agencies.
The new investigations against Brandenburg began immediately after the termination of a two-year proceeding over alleged plans for a coup involving “military weapons.” In 2022, special commando units raided Brandenburg’s and his family’s homes — all accusations ultimately proved baseless. At the same time as the “state terrorists” case, Prosecutor Ploog opened two additional proceedings against Brandenburg: one for “incitement to hatred” over criticism of Islamic mass immigration, and another for “insulting” two state prosecutors. Those prosecutors had kept prominent government critic Michael Ballweg in pre-trial detention for nearly nine months over an alleged tax evasion of 19.53 euros (about twenty-three US dollars).

With statements such as “(...) German state terrorist (...)”, “(...) willing executor of regime terror (...)”, and “perpetrator in German government service [who] since 2020 has been carrying out the terror of the local unjust regime” directed at Senior Prosecutor Ploog, you intended to disparage Senior Prosecutor Ploog in his honor.
